In some cars, the oil drain plug is aligned vertically, in other cars its horizontal or diagonal. And the tek-drain™ oil plug is about ¼” longer then a standard oil drain plug. These factors need to be considered because the lower anything protrudes below the engine, the more likely it might hit an obstruction on the road like a speed bump or a rock.
