The transmitter site is located above horizontal from my location. Does the dish need to be pointed upward?
Yes. The feedhorn of your antenna should be pointed within a degree or two of the transmitter site, including elevation (up angle). All of the antennas we sell have some way of changing the elevation angle. If you have one of our very early antennas that has an adjustable mounting bracket, you can swivel the U-bolt through the notches in the bracket to achieve the desired angle. If you have a newer FireServe antenna (which has a feedhorn without a small metal reflector that you have to mount on the end, and has two U-bolts that extend out the back of the reflector), then you can place shims or washers between the reflector and mast clamps to angle the antenna upward.
