There is a strange musty, fishy scent inside of my crabitat – why?
This may be a sign that your crab has died. When a crab dies, an unpleasant scent will fill its crabitat. If there is a brown liquid that has been discharged from your crab as well, it may mean that your crab died from overheating. If you have other crabs, or are planning on buying a new one, move the crabitat to a cooler place to ensure that it does not happen again.
