to enable debugging features by default?
Passing –disable-debug to the configure command line will only disable the build of the debug library. Passing –enable-debug will make only the debug library be built and installed in $prefix/lib as usual, and the driver will be debug enabled. The build flags may be configured by passing CFLAGS on the configure command line. Additional flags may be passed for the debugging library build with DBGCFLAGS.
