To what extent is the footwear handcrafted?
The footwear is individually handcrafted using hand tools using the traditional method. Some times, a foot pedal operated manual stitching machine, used to stitch the intricate uppers, is just about the only machine used – that too run by human power! Templates are used to achieve standardisation. A small pneumatic press would be used with cutting templates to cut sole shapes when large orders are to be executed.
