• The underlying principle is that people will pay for the services they receive. • There will be two charges – a water charge and a sewerage charge. • If a property is connected to the mains water supply it will have to pay for that service. The same principle will apply in respect of connection to the sewerage network. • There will be a charge for the emptying of septic tanks and the appropriate treatment of waste.
