The American Plastics Council conducted several studies of hospitals to test for generation and recycling opportunities. Among those involved by this group were the Univeersity of Washington Medical Center and the Providence, RI Medical Center.A manual and survey was published by them under the title,: Hospital Plastics Characterization and Recycling Feasibility Study prepared by a consultant.
