Typically, why do babies and young children run fevers at night and not during the day?

I don’t really have a scientific explanation for this, but I’ll tell you what I think, or what makes sense to me anyway. When we have a fever, it’s because our body is trying to fight a virus, or infection. So fevers are really a good thing, and absolutely necessary in order to fight off an illness. At night, our body kind of renews itself. Since we’re not running around and doing things, all our energy goes where it’s needed. Like renewing cells, growing hair, growing taller, getting healthier… etc! So I guess that’s when we fight an illness better, and that’s when our teeth come in, and so on. That’s why we’re not supposed to eat late at night I guess, so that we don’t interfere with this process. I don’t know, does that make sense??? LOL. Edit: I like Cade’s mommy’s explanation too though. I think there may be a lot of truth to that! Ha ha!
