Under no tension how does the furling line stay on the Furling Drum?
If there is no tension left on the furling line after the sail is unfurled, it is possible for the furling line to fall off the drum, especially when sailing downwind. In designing the system, we thought most sailors would not have any issues in simply tying off the furling line after the sail was completely unfurled. This assumption allowed us to keep the design very simple for the lower assembly instead of adding the unneeded complexity found in other systems that have cages around the furling drum or have completely enclosed drums.
