AGO has sent out a clarification directing anyone who is contacted inappropriately by a NOAALink vendor to direct the vendor to the NOAALink CO. Additionally, both government and contractor personnel will be reminded of the appropriate contact procedures during scheduled training, introductory and kick-off meetings. A “meet-and-greet” is planned to give vendors and CIOs a chance to meet. However, there isn’t any need to “market” because all companies will be given an opportunity to compete under the established order distribution plan. It is not in any vendor’s best interest to contact the CIOs and staff directly. Discussing future possibilities can place vendors at risk of a COI which may result in their exclusion from an individual task order request.
