Visiting Chicago next weekend…What kind of weather should I expect?

You should check with one of the weather sites later in the week to see what to pack. Something that you should know about Chicago, the direction of the wind makes a big difference. The official temperature is from O’Hare which is well west of downtown. If the wind is from the east or northeast, it can be considerably cooler downtown. This week one day it was 65 at O’Hare and 50 at the lakefront because of a wind off the lake.

Tough to say – this far out, could be overcast and 40 (like today) or 70+ with bright sun (a few days ago). Either way the evenings will be chilly (40-50) so pack accordingly. Compact umbrella is always a good idea. The weather here is very similar to Michigan. Have a great time.
