The 55, 65, and 70 amp units were only used on cars which did not have air conditioning. The 90 amp units were standard with air conditioning; and the 120 amp units were a heavy duty option on vehicles with air conditioning. The 90 amp units have a 133mm (5 1/4″) diameter case. The 120 amp units have a 150mm (5 7/8″) diameter case. Many brands of rebuilt units do not come with a pulley; so in those cases, the pulley from your old unit would have to be transferred to the replacement. You can find photos of the various alternators, along with more details, by going to the www.rockauto.com website, selecting your car make, year and model, and scrolling down to the “electrical” section.
