Argentina Brunetti’s popular role as Aunt Sarina in the ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ series was considered such a hit that its producers told her that she would be back for additional episodes. But when the telefilm was seen by its major stars, one or more of them may have informed the producers that Argentina stole the show and they did not want such competition in future episodes. Argentina was never officially told why she was not called back. Doris Roberts, who plays Raymond’s mother on the show, recently informed her hosts on the Fox News cable TV morning program,’Fox and Friends’,that the cast of the ‘Raymond’ show had made a pact that none of the principal players would ever try to upstage the other.
