Was a U.S. Border Patrol agent justified in shooting a teenage Mexican boy?
Mexico has condemned the shooting of a 15-year-old boy by a U.S. Border Patrol agent along the border between El Paso and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Some Mexican politicians are calling for the agent to be sent to Mexico to face justice there. The agent said it was in self-defense, as the kids were throwing rocks at him (rocks are considered a deadly weapon). Fox News is reporting the boy was a well-known juvenile smuggler in Mexico. Did a border agent act rashly when he shot a Mexican boy throwing rocks at him?
