I think you are probably right as far as sprinters go; though I don’t think it’s fair to say “all” athletes take drugs. Linford Christie was always suspected of taking drugs and indeed tested positive for steroids later in his career. Many people thought Carl Lewis was doping, though he was never caught. I believe that Ben Johnson was the best of a bad bunch – so to speak. If everyone else is cheating then taking drugs becomes a way of competing on an equal playing field; sad.
