Was “billie jean” by David Cook the most memorable performance on this years American Idol?
actually most of his performances were… “Billie Jean”, “Hello”, “Always Be My Baby”, “The World I Know”, etc. I personally think the most memorable performance of the season was his emotional “Time of my Life”, though. It’s not the kind of song I’d normally want to hear a Rocker like him sing because the lyrics are kind of “gooey” (as Simon says), but the way he altered the song to fit him and how he connected with it, with his journey from a bartender in Oklahoma to the new American Idol and his brother Adam’s battle with Cancer,and everything, it was actually the perfect song for his “moment”. Very moving. I’m so glad he won because he SO deserved it.
