No. Britannic’s crew was responsible for everything strictly related to the ship’s navigation. The officers and soldiers of the Royal Army Medical Corps may have had some military training but there were not armed. However, the wounded officers in the wards were allowed to keep their side guns but they could not use them during their stay on the ship. Regarding the presence of a Lewis gun, the answer is still negative. As a hospital ship the Britannic had no guns, since there was no need to defend herself or attack enemy vessels.
