I’d like to say yes, but out of the 60+ senators who conspired in the assassination none of them considered the will of the people; they did it for the benefit of the senatorial classes. (i.e. themselves). However, it wasn’t just Brutus who was in on it, like i said, over sixty people were actually there at the kill, from staunch Republicans like Brutus and Cassius to those who had actually served alongside Caesar in the Gallic wars such as Trebonius. So when you have so many people with so many different backgrounds and loyalties all conspiring against one man then you have to assume there was some consensus that the murder could be justifiable; even if only to those people who lost out to Caesar politically. Also, if they had murdered Mark Antony as well as Caesar, then things could have been very different. Who knows, maybe the republic could have been restored and peace maintained.
