I was thinking about Ben emptying that gun into Charlotte and if she hadn’t been wearing a bullet-proof vest she’d be dead. I can’t recall any of the other three wearing one. So it makes you wonder if the island did a little intervention to save Charlotte, because if Charlotte had died then, she couldn’t have told everyone later about the Well and Locke wouldn’t have looked for it or climbed down it. Like I said earlier in a theory, if you compare the ships doctor’s washing up on shore at the same time Keamy was attacking the barracks [which was way before Keamy actually killed the doctor] it appears the island’s time line was running ahead of Keamy’s and by extension, the real world’s time line.
