I have heard several say that he was, but several brazilians on here have said that he never was, and on the countdown show he said that when he first started doing martial arts training he did bjj at the age of 21, and only started to do striking later on, and since he’s 25 right now that doesn’t leave that much time to become the best kickboxer in brazil (especially with guys like ewerton texeira, Glaube Feitosa and Francisco Filho around)
