Was Godfrey of Bouillon a member of the Order of Knights Templar?

The answer is NO. Godfrey was the first Crusader to rule in Jerusalem. He did reject the title of “King of Jerusalem”. BUT he died in 1100 and the order of the temple was founded about 1120. So Godfrey, unless he was a zombie, which isn’t mentioned in any chronicle, was dead before the order came to exist.
