All references I’ve seen (very few to be honest) say that The Deathly Hallows was filmed as a normal 2D movie and 3D has been added in post production. I’m very confident that this is the case as filming in true 3D, with a proper film-definition dual-camera setup is a pretty tricky and expensive thing to do… and therefore noteworthy ie. There would have been BIG stories about this if it had been filmed in 3D – nothing is mentioned of it being shot in 3D on its Wikipedia page. Also, I’m not sure there are many top-end cinematographers out there who have much if any experience with this setup. Contrary to the previous post, no, all 3D movies are not shot in 2D. Avatar was shot with a dual-camera rig.
