Was it supposed to be a Westlife song?
The upcoming single by Shayne Ward, “Stand By Me”, was supposedly written for Westlife. A record company insider noted, “Bosses here thought that they could make more money out of the song if Shayne sang it. That’s Why Westlife have been relatively quiet recently – because they don’t want to saturate the market with the same type of stuff.
