The police said that the driver of the Honda was “shaken up” and taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Phelps had two passengers in his car and both were not injured in the crash. Police said that after conducting an interview with Phelps they decided alcohol was not a factor and did not conduct a field sobriety test.
