Was robin hood a saxon?

There is absolutely no proof that Robin Hood ever existed, he was only a person written about in fables, so the question is unanswerable. Addition. You say that you are sure that Robin Hood existed because he was written about from the twelth century but that is not true, the first writings were dated about 1422 in a story that begun “Robyn Hode in Scherewood stode” some 200 years after King Richard was away on the crusades, there was mention in tales or fables of men with similar names to Robin Hood but they were not linked to Sherwood forest, in fact one was in Berkshire, as I said, there is no proof of him ever being more than a story that has been used for centuries and it still is being used to this day, it is a nice romantic wish that this is true but the facts are that he is nothing but a made up hero, there is a lot of information on the internet if you care to take a look but sorry, he did not exist.
