Was there a 1st Inf Div, “18th Armored Infantry BN” in WWII?
Answer Greetings According to my research the 1st Infantry Division didnt have an 18th Armored Infantry. Armored Infantry were part of armored division. It is possible that he was part of the 16th Armored Division they had an 18thArmored Infantry Battalion. It is possible that an error was made on the discharge papers.
