Was titanium used to make the titanic boat?
First, titanium was not “invented”, as it is an element (ti). It was discovered in 1791, more than a hundred years before the Titanic was built. Titanium dioxide is widely used as a pigment in white paint, so chances are good that whole ship was “coated” in titanium. The name Titanic has nothing to do with titanium, it is in reference to the greek gods, the Titans, who where thought to be the strongest gods. Hope this helps.
