We’re thinking of having it cleaned, but there really isn’t an easy way to get to it. Any suggestions?

My Dad’s restaurant in Soham has a huge sign that hangs off the front of the building.

Hi @Bradley

There’s really only one practical way to get to those hard-to-reach areas – ropes. Find a cleaner who has rope access training. Not all cleaning services have them, but the ones who do will have no problems getting up to your restaurant’s sign with just some rigging and a harness.

On the other hand, it might just be easier to look for a rope access company that offers cleaning services. I know there’s one in Isleham, because we’ve called on them several times to have the sign at my uncle’s repair shop refurbished. They’re called ProAltus, and they are a rope access company that also provides cleaning services, among others. Go check them out at ProAltus.co.uk, I think they’re exactly what you’re looking for.

Good luck!
