Short answer: About 3 – 4 weeks. Long answer: The skin is our largest organ and is made up of three layers: the subcutaneous, the epidermis and the dermis. The dermis is the deep layer that contains fibroblast cells which give elasticity and suppleness to the skin. This layer needs nourishment internally as well as externally to thrive – which is why we recommend the aloe vera gel drink to give your skin the nutrients it needs from the inside. The epidermis, or visible top layer of skin, is actually made up of a very thin layer of dead skin cells. And the body is constantly making new cells beneath this layer.
