We′re flying to Chicago and can′t fit everything my student needs into suitcases. How can we bring everything s/he needs?
Fly with the most immediately necessary items, and then ship some and/or buy the rest in Chicago either on Opening Day or the day before. Boxes can be shipped to arrive at residence halls no earlier than Monday, September 7th. Packages received prior to Monday, September 7th will be returned to sender. The housing assignment mailing that students will receive in August will provide information on when and where to mail boxes. Packages will be stored in a secured storage room until they are retrieved by the student on move-in day. Space is limited, so please do not ship more than one or two small boxes ahead of time. However, remember that more boxes can be shipped, once the student has arrived on campus. Please write, “Hold for ‘STUDENT’S NAME'” on all packages being sent in advance. Trips to Target will also be offered during Orientation Week. For more information on room assignments, moving in, residence halls, policies, meal plans, etc., please visit the Office of Undergraduate Stud
