Were The Germans in WW2 Christian Or a different Religion?

0

The Germans in WWII who were Christian, were Christian; some of these were submitting to National Socialist directives, others were underground and/or resisting. The National Socialists distorted and tried to control Chrisitanity, but they were officially not Christian. The swastika was called the “twisted cross” for that reason. The ordinary soldiers were often believers in Christ, so the National Socialists permitted or encouraged the wearing of Christian symbols, but it was to ensure efficiency, a mere (mis)use of the symbols.
