Were the pilgrims right to make and break the “Indians” into following our God instead of their gods?
I am not certain what you mean by “make or break”, but if you imply that the Pilgrims tried to “force” the indians to convert to Jesus Christ, I believe you are wrong. The first disciples of Jesus Christ’s, i.e. the early and beginning church, was commanded by Jesus to spread the gospel throughout the world. That is, to tell the good news of forgiveness of sin through the cross. That command was made in such a way that it is obvious that the church down through history was to obey that same command, until Jesus Christ returns. There is no doubt that some individuals who called themselves “christian” but really weren’t, tried to force conversions. But this was not in any way commanded by Jesus. And the apostle Paul tells us time and time again that we are to “persuade all men” to turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of sins and renewed fellowship with the God of the universe.
