Were there male equivalents of the Vestal Virgins in Rome?
Not really. There were exact no male equivalents of Vestal Virgins in Rome. The Vestal Virgins were dedicated the the Goddess Vesta and tended the Sacred Fire of Rome. Only women could become priest(esse)s of Vesta. If you mean was there an equivalent where male priests were not allowed to have sex, that is a tougher question. Because they tended the Sacred Flame, the Romans thought Vestal Virgins had to be pure, thus the no sex while they were a priestess (despite popular belief, they did not have to be virgins, and could have sex after their tenure was over, they just could have sex while they were a priestess.). Male priests would be devoted to the other gods, and different priesthoods had different restrictions. I don’t know if any of them prohibited sex, but there were many with some strange prohibitions, (for example, the pontifex maximus was not allowed to touch a horse or look at a soldier).
