What's the best way to clean rims?

Mild dish soap and vinegar in warm water tends to work the best but it will take a little bit of elbow grease if brake dust and road salt are on them. They have several specific wheel cleaners in auto parts stores.. some that require you only spraying them on and rinsing them off with a hose but they dont really work as well as getting down there and actually scrubbing them with soft washrag or sponge and really washing them. ... more
