What academic and personality qualities or attributes must an industrial engineer possess?

Before we consider the abilities and characteristics an industrial engineer should possess, we will first define what an industrial engineer does and the requirements for becoming an industrial engineer. Industrial engineering is also sometimes referred to as operations management, systems engineering, production engineering, manufacturing engineering or manufacturing systems engineering. A career in industrial engineering requires a minimum of a bachelors degree in one of these disciplines, and many industrial engineers go on to pursue graduate degrees in industrial engineering, business, or a related field.
