The IRIS sensor provides a continuously calibrated image to the pilot. Regardless of pitch-up or pitch-down maneuvers, rapid turns or turns into direct sunlight, the IRIS image will remain accurate and stable. Unlike other technologies where the image compensation may lag, the IRIS image never “blooms” or obscures critical details when the infrared scene changes.
