What aircraft qualify as subsonic jets?
A. Aircraft must have the “max_mach=.99” parameter no more than 1.00. We realize that many aircraft cannot attain Mach 1.0 in level flight even though their airframe might sustain such speeds in a dive. However, the max_mach parameter is our best commonly available criterion for making these judgments. (We cannot test all aircraft.) Further, for obvious reasons, you may not change this parameter from that set by the original designer.
