What applications would a conductive mat be used versus a static dissipative mat?
A. Conductive matting should be used around very sensitive electronic equipment and flammable chemicals because it disperses static electricity much quicker than static dissipative mats do. Static dissipative mats can be used to control static electricity where sensitive equipment or flammable chemicals are not a factor. Both conductive matting and static dissipative matting must be grounded to be effective.
