What are all the different ministers (e.g. the minister of education) in the UK parliament?
Here is a list of the current Cabinet Ministers (those who attend regular cabinet meetings): http://www.pm.gov.uk/output/Page1371.asp As well as these, there are the same number again, or maybe a few more, of junior ministers who do not attend cabinet meetings, but report through their bosses. Th number of cabinet ministers is not fixed. Obviously, there are Ministries which stay fixed over centuries – Home and Foreign Offices, Education (though it keeps changing its name), Health, Defence. But others come and go – Work and Pensions, Food and Rural Affairs etc – as the Prime Minister swaps responsibility between differnt jobs. There are usually about 20 cabinet posts – but this is not an absolute necessity.
