There are different sources of energy in the Philippines. These sources may not be well known or used here but still it we have alternative. We have geothermal energy source located in places near volcanoes. We also have solar energy, where as you probably know, needs solar panel. If I remember it right there was even several feature stories regarding this such as the one from “Sineskwela” a science show here in the Philippines. We also have Wind source like the ones established in Ilocos and is being used as a promotional examples in one of the political campaign advertisement. We also have hydro source of energy where dams and reservoirs are the main source of energy. We also have the nuclear source of energy. It was a controversial issue since the government invested a lot of fund unfortunately the country was not able to fully utilize the source.
