From research conducted over many years Dr Meredith Belbin has discovered that teams work most effectively when they contain members with a range of preferred roles. These have come to be known as Shaper, Coordinator, Teamworker, Completer Finisher, Implementer, Monitor Evaluator, Plant, Resource Investigator and Specialist.
