What are Central Arkansas Waters area of responsibility?
Central Arkansas Water maintains the public mains, valves, fire hydrants, services, valve boxes, meter boxes and water meters in our system. We also maintain approximately 1 – 2′ of pipe on the outlet side of the meter. This is referred to as a ‘tailpiece’. Any leaks at the connection to the “tailpiece” and on up to and into the structure is considered plumbing and is not maintained by Central Arkansas Water. Some commercial properties have “Private Facilities” and those are NOT maintained by Central Arkansas Water.
