What are demi pointe shoes?
Demi-pointe shoes are a waste of money and time. I really believe that dance wear companies do this to get money out of young dancers who cannot wait to go en pointe. You will NEVER see them used in pre-professional dance schools that train dancers on track for a career in the ballet. However, for some bizarre reason, they use them in RAD which is graded ballet which is also recreational training. They do not strengthen your feet or ankles in any way. You are better off saving your money to spend on your pointe shoes when you were ready. Work with a theraband and work your feet and legs hard at the barre. That will serve you much better than demi pointe shoes.
