What are electronic portfolios??
Electronic portfolios are a component of a storage system on a computer, which serves as a repository for an individual’s documents in a dedicated space. These documents are meant to be representative of the individual’s work during a specific period of time and to serve as a measure of growth. To make these portfolios accessible to students, parents, teachers and administrators, Premiere Schools provides a storage system on the internet, available to schools that do not have such capability on their own websites. This system has been developed with considerable concern for security, requiring the use of passwords by people who are permitted users of the system. Documents may be saved in different file formats if they are generated on a computer — they may be written documents, graphic/photographic images, animations or pdfs — or they can be scans of handwritten or drawn documents/pictures.
