What are Financial Contingency Funds?

0

Financial Contingency Funds provide discretionary financial assistance for “home” students (i.e. those who meet the residency conditions as a UK student), with the aim of helping them to access and remain in higher education – particularly those students who need financial help to meet extra costs that cannot be met from other sources of support. The Fund can help to alleviate unexpected financial hardship. Students considering leaving higher education because of financial problems are particularly encouraged to apply and also to seek money advice from our advisers. Students can apply to the Fund at any point during the academic year including the long vacation. Any grants awarded are non-repayable and range between £100 – £3,500.
