Fire-rated wood doors are those that have been constructed in a manner to resist fire. They may be rated as 20 minute, 30 minute, 45 minute, 1 hour or 1 1/2 hour. To get these ratings, they must be tested and carry an identifying label from a qualified testing and inspection agency.
