Foundation Modern Apprenticeships (FMA) are suitable for entry and general level staff, which may be employed or on a training allowance. The FMA combines an NVQ level 2, a technical certificate and Key Skills. Once an FMA has been completed there is an opportunity to progress to an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship (AMA). What are Advanced Modern Apprenticeships? Advanced Modern Apprenticeships are suitable for technical, supervisory or junior management level staff, who should be in full-time employment. The AMA combines an NVQ level 3, a technical certificate and Key Skills. How do they work? You will be assessed on a regular basis against a number of criteria by a Protocol Skills assessor to ensure you are meeting the requirements set by your specific Modern Apprenticeship. To make sure the combination of theory and practice is right for you an Individual Training Plan will be drawn up to ensure you are progressing towards your qualification.
