What are good blog platforms to use to start a political blog?
I would go for WordPress, every time. It’s easily themeable. And if you’re not too great at the whole HTML/CSS malarkey yourself, there are thousands of freely available themes that are designed specifically for Wordpess. It’s tried & tested, and is easily the most popular blogging platform around. It’s open source – meaning it’s available for anybody to fix security holes, etc in order to make it safer for everyone. Best of all, it’s free! WordPress can be downloaded from http://www.wordpress.org Once downloaded, you’ll have to upload it to some webspace and follow the setup instructions. You’ll have a blog up and running in less than 5 minutes! Oh, and if you don’t have web hosting, or don’t want to pay for it, you can always use a hosted WordPress blog. http://www.wordpress.com is the best example of this.
