either a side parting to keep it modern or a full straight fringe a la Lily Allen. You could have layers put in and have it shaped around her face if her hair is heavy. I would also ask for it to be cut choppy rather than straight to reduce heaviness. Don’t style it too much or it will be too high maintainence for a 12 year old. Hope this helps!
