Well, I guess the first tip would be that you have to have some self-discipline–you need to WANT to get up to do whatever it is you have to do. But I know that can be a problem, especially when you’ve not gotten enough sleep and are exhausted anyway. One thing that I’ve always recommended is to move the alarm clock away from the bed. If you have to GET UP to turn off that alarm clock, it helps wake you up a bit more and you will be more likely to stay up rather than rolling over and going back to sleep. Of course the best tip is to try to get to bed earlier, and get enough sleep so it won’t be so hard to drag yourself out of bed in the morning. Sometimes that’s not possible, but making an effort to get to bed by a certain time if you have trouble getting up in the morning can help. Avoid alcohol as a sleeping pill….
